Re: Storing wetsuits

I take a strong hanger and then use a pool noodle to make it very padded and this is wide enough to avoid obvious damage to the suit. I store it right side out, but I always let it dry for a day inside out first. For long term storage, I sometimes lay one out flat under the bed.

Re: Storing wetsuits

I just hang em on a wide padded hanger. I don’t notice any ill effects.

Re: Storing wetsuits

For decades I used a hanger that I made out of a polystyrene foam surfboard that I found busted on a beach. I used a dreadnought file to shape it like the top of a store dummy at the shoulders and neck area and bent a thick piece of aluminium wire to create a hanging hook, a brass washer cut from sheet stops it pulling through the foam. So a wetsuit jacket hanging on the foam hanger is like me wearing the suit. The Farmer John trousers can also hang on the hanger, although a thick suit (7 mm) may be too much for it.

In the attached photo the jacket is shown on this hanger, but you can only see the hook.
