Talking my son shoots dorado !

last weekend i took my 11 y/o son aidan down to mexico on a tuna trip

the night before we left i visited mori who equipped me with a a 9/32 shaft and spectra pencil point break away tip as well as a new dive knife which i put at his bedside like a Christmas present
the idea being for me to inspire him to get up the courage to shoot a big fish on the bank with a 57 inch wong magnum hybrid
well when the time came he did just that
check out the 15 plus foot headshot he makes into a 9 lb dorado (at 5:35 on the vid)
after he stones his first one

watch it in hi res and you can see all the dorado just out of range that he passes on

the rest of the report is here

Re: my son shoots dorado !

That's awesome! I just showed the vid and pics to my 3 year old son Aidan who's favorite fish is dorado. He thought it was pretty cool! I can't wait till he's big enough to get out there himself.

That is awesome Joe. You must have been beaming when that happened. He will remember the moment for the rest of his life.

Congrats to both dad and son!
