Looking for a little bit of Northern Baja Advice

Hey Everyone,

I'm trying to go down to northern Baja in a couple weeks with my girlfriend.

I'm looking at booking a room or small house somewhere between Rosarito and Ensenada where we would be able to surf and that I could maybe sneak in a shoredive or two close by , weather permitting.

In the past I've stayed at Las Gaviotas and at Estero Beach. Either would probably be fine, but I was wondering if anyone had other recommendations that might be a bit more economical. Top priorities are safety/security and proximity to surf though. Any advice would be much appreciated!

Thanks guys,

Hotel de California in Rosarito. Get a room with a transit pass to avoid waits at the border. So when did you switch from guys to gals?

Go to K58 (La Fonda), get off freeway, hang a right and go about 100 yards to the left is Hotel La Mission and/or The Lighthouse. The rooms should be reasonable, surfing great! If you want to camp on the cliffside, go another 100 yards and enter through the big arch. Camping should cost about $8 a night.
If you want a sandy beach, go south to La Salinas. The bar/restaurant has basic rooms, but not a 5 star. To go diving, send me a PM.
