Re: best boat under 20 feet
Go for a cat if you could find one. Very stable, they can handle some weather, the fuel economy is usually great and they trailer easy in the size you are looking at.
Good luck |

Re: best boat under 20 feet
Given your price range i would say your best bet will be:
Hobie Power Skiff Inflatable Livingston Skiff Bayrunner Now if your budget was a little more you might want to look at: Greenough 17 18ft Whaler (Outrage) Arima 16ft Radoncraft (if you can find one) 18ft Parker Last edited by sbsurfer; 02-19-2013 at 02:11 PM. |

Re: best boat under 20 feet
Not the "best" overall, but just throwing this out there...Valco 14', 30hp Johnson, hand tiller. We throw it on top of the truck and go to Baja, where tough dirt roads and a lack of nice launches make trailers a hassle. Lightweight, low maintenance. Recommended by the studs that wrote "Baja Catch" (best book ever in my opinion). Not the fastest and range is sort of limited, but we love it as the poor man's option.
