Re: Tahiti

Dive deep
Dive long
Bring a lot of extra gear
Careful of the gray reef sharks
I would talk to Marco Alexander or G about maybe guiding for you if that's what you're looking for

Re: Tahiti

Can anyone advise me on which reef fish I should focus on? I don't have experience in South Pacific and would like to read up on a few fish before we leave. Any fish to avoid?

Any tips on the area appreciated.

We are going to be sailing around Raiatea and Tahiti weather permitting will also hit up Bora Bora. Not looking for a guide this time.

Re: Tahiti

Clear water, much clearer than Hawaii
Long guns 130cm minimum (Just a recommendation)
Ask locals about which fish may have ciguatera
bring extra shafts
extra rigging gear
Big fish! Enjoy!
