Ha!
I thought you were throwing down some crazy boat building lingo.
Thanks Sven

Not sure about the rest of you but I'm looking forward to Sven ending the foreplay and giving us a full size pic of these plugs, hulls, molds, whatever he's done so far.

C'mon Sven, I enjoy your writing but even your website/blog isn't giving us much regarding the new "Highliner" boats.

Glad you're enjoying the blog.
Like I said in my email reply to you some month m or so back, when you get over to the mainland, gimme a call and c'mon by. By that time all be indoors and running on all 8. Time spent now getting the things right and in place is going to make a lot of people happy, maybe you, when I tell you your boat's done rather than the status quo of maybe next year. I'm not looking at this being an instant success story, just a success and if it happened overnight, what would everyone have to yak about?
Meanwhile, keep checking in.

sounds like there is no mold yet. How do you know what it takes to finish a boat if you haven't built any???? Spring has come and gone and the "Dreamliner 28" isn't ready to be splashed. Oops missed the deadline, next year will be here soon, "maybe next year"?

I smell bull shit again.

A wise man once told me "You tell 1 lie and you need to tell 20 more to keep up with it. Soon you don't know the truth from the bullshit"

SHOW SOME REAL PICTURES, EVERYONE ELSE DOES

You built 3 hulls without sea trialing ANY? Kind of risky
Did you "Dream" how they would float? perform under load? heavy seas? how much horsepower? where should the COG be? What is the fuel burn/mileage? Sea trial helps proof your theories, or allows you to improve the second or third.

And now another mold with nothing to show or test?

You must be "GOLDEN" to afford all the capital to do these projects.
And still no pictures to show us
C'mon Sven, I know some proof might convince me.

Re: California Dive Boats -- the legend of Radon (pictures)

Alright. That smell might be your breath blowing back.
For a guy that takes a year and a half to rebuild a 19, do you really have that much time to care about anything anyone else does? Don't worry about having to send a camera, I don't want you to have to rob some guy's deposit to buy one and put it in the mail. IF you do have any time left over, read instead of interpret, you'll feel less threatened.
You should be rightfully happy with your situation, focus on that. You have a article in a glossy mag due out one of these days, do you think your act here helps reinforce the hype? If I put out any info that comes off as too much too soon, you have the time and energy to care?
C'mon, you have your own stuff to do, so go do it.

Anyone else needing to comment, head over to the website and send me a note so we can keep this thread free of this crap, it's not doing anyone any good.

Out.

Re: California Dive Boats -- the legend of Radon (pictures)

Don is only charging $300,000 to redo this???

http://www.hmbreview.com/news/harbor...456b60159.html

EDIT: Yes, there's probably $140k in engines and possibly, if it's in the same contract, $20,000 in electronics.

Sven I tried using your blog, but it's all about you on your soapbox. Looks like you are putting the crap on.

Here is some current shots of 2 current projects at the yard.
No they are not "Radons" The orange G17 is #6 this YEAR. G17 (#7) is having the house constructed currently. The H+H lobster boat will be #8 and there is a G21 in the molds that will be #9. We might have another LA County 22 finished before the end of the year plus a stretch and a dumpster rebuild.

Here's a few shots on a foggy morning of one of the most well-preserved 'old school' Radon 24's out there, David's 1970 F/V 'Easy Money'.

Re: California Dive Boats -- the legend of Radon (pictures)

Busy weekend in Santa Barbara......hot temps at the beach, and several paddling events/outrigger races running concurrently. Seemed like everyone with a boat had it out and was enjoying themselves-
