Re: Vis reports from Ft pierce to sebastian

went out Friday to some of my favorite spots. 45' FSW 4 miles off Vero Beach pier. Water temp was very comfortable. High 70's on top, low/ mid 70's on bottom. Vis was 10-15ft and hazy. Only bad thing was a very stiff current from the south. Almost not able to swim against it on the top. Difficult on bottom too.

Dove 80 ft NE of Sebastian, water was warm 74 degrees and 35 ft vis. Really nice diving. Coming in the beach looked clear and the inlet was top to bottom.

We dove 55 feet and also 80 feet north east out of Sebastian yesterday. The visibility at 55 feet was 15+. The visibility at 80 feet was 20-ish. The weather was the problem yesterday. The morning started nice, however by 11 o’clock the seas were up to 4 feet and whitecaps. There was no sunlight getting to the bottom because of all of the dark clouds. The water temperature was 70-ish in both spots. I took Out some divers that are somewhat new to spearfishing here. We found some nice grouper but blew a great opportunity at one. I will try to ad the video. Yesterday we were at the B team.

That video is awesome, a spearo version reminding me of all the times I’ve taken first time hunters out in the field. Now you just need a video of the first one they actually get

Re: Vis reports from Ft pierce to sebastian

Any recent reports for the near shore waters between sebastian and ft pierce inlets? I heard it was top to bottom the weekend before last. I'd like to plan a night dive in the 30-40ft depths Friday if the conditions are still as good....

I would really appreciate vis reports for the waters between Cocoa and Ft Pierce. Its been so long since anyone could get out and I see early next week there is a window?

Going to be staying on Hutchinson Island from Dec 17-24. Will let you know on the visibility, although this is my first time diving Florida and I have no reference.
