I have alot of ideas on next steps starting with more one-on-one commissioner persuasion.
My only recommendation would be,,, bring your checkbook.
Gamble, your insinuation that FWC Commissioners can be bribed is totally out of line here. They are honorable people trying to serve society in a positive way. But, I guess you are entitled to your opinion (everyone has one)

Give it a rest, I was a joke."CAN" they be bribed, maybe, have they been bribed,, I have no clue. I just find it very strange that in the last year+ of meetings the topic of game fish status hasn't been suggested by commissioners. BTT breaks out the guns and at least three now consider it a good idea. SOMETHING made them change their mind.................

Believe what you want. I think most level people understand that you can't have a meeting with an FWC commissioner, give them a check and get the regs you want passed.

That doesn't mean BTT and CCA didn't raise an eyebrow and get to work when some spearfishermen started pushing for the same regs as H/L guys.

Re: FWC Decides Permit and Pompano Regulation Needs Further Study

When Gamble said 'break out your checkbook', I envisioned BTT writing a check to Ault.

Another one that is breaking out the checkbook is the FWC.
As I understand it, an eyewear company is said to be financing research on permit. That one-time financing is equivalent to 100 pair of sunglasses at retail price.

The FWC will have to produce over $50,000 per year for the next three to five years to fund the REST of the study.

I wonder why that $150 - $250 thousand is not being spent on other FAR MORE PRESSING issues.

Your welcome. Thanks for your continued support of the FRA.

How could you twist my message about other battles into giving up?
It almost sounds like your are taking a sideways swipe at the FRA's efforts. Is that so?

As for the gayme reference: I apologize if I offended any homosexuals.
But it WAS funny to me.
As I've been told: Lighten up, Frances.

Tony-

Glad that Sheri can reach out. Let me kow how that goes.
I've been to commissioner Barreto's keys home several times and have an OK relationship with him and the other commissioners.

At every public input, FRA praises the commssioners for their efforts.
Our FWRI is an amazing place that does outstanding work with dedicated employees.

Yup, I saw you say those compliments well in the broadcast. Too bad there were only 6 people watching it in spite of all our efforts to promote it Denny. Oh well, the weary soldier carries on and does his duty. Keep up the full-court press bud!

I will let you know what Sheri says. Thanks!
