I might be out for this one...hip flexor issues. Be a morning decision.

My GF is coming and she will take my yak over with my grill and some other gear. I will swim over and use the yak to dive from there

Mark and I dove this area a while back. Lots of rocks and structure to look around. As he said, if you get there early, there's parking along the road.
I might have to drop off my nephew (he's in town) at the airport on sunday. I would like to attend though.

The fishing could still happen if there are no thunderstorms.

Waves moderate 1-2ft SE per 9 seconds, wind 12-14.

Clouds guaranteed.

Re: Boston Kill and Grill (July edition)

With the grilling being on an island I will postpone the grill and we can find an open weekend in August. I will still be spearfishing though.

I would hate or some one to get stuck on the island if it starts raining or thundering.

So I will still fish but postpone the grilling due to the bad weather and location

I'll wait till last minute to make my decision. Hopefully it won't be as bad. Grill will stay home though.

Small craft advisory from 1pm, showers and thunderstorms likely.

It's going to be nasty.

Re: Boston Kill and Grill (July edition)

For the next meeting I suggest we get it better organized, a location like 'the beach in Dolliber Cove' is not precise enough for me, at least not if there are several beaches and launching point, I am too German for that.

Had a great time anyway diving alone.

Re: Boston Kill and Grill (July edition)

Christian! Where were you man? I met up with Mark at 8:00 am at Dolliber Cove on Beacon Street and we saw a diver out by the NE end of the Island around 8:30ish. I thought it may have been you. Anyway, Mark and I slayed them good. I shot my first and biggest tog of the day about 10 minutes into the dive. We measured it with Mark's speargun marks and estimated it at 22 inches but at home it measured 24 1/2.
The stripers were out in full force as Mark and I saw some 45 inch fish just swim around at arms lenth and a "torpedo" swam under me which I guessed at 45lbs +. Awesome day! BTW, the rain started as soon as we left to go home.
Mark, see if you can upload the picture I texted you...

Re: Boston Kill and Grill (July edition)

Mark finished off the day with a nice 20 inch + tog and we also managed 3 cunners with Mark getting a whopper cunner.

Re: Boston Kill and Grill (July edition)

Julio, well I called Marc at 8:02 for the precise location and got no answer.

So I launched from a small beach probably east of you.
Did not see you, thinking you both bailed out.

I was trying to get lobster, but without success.

I saw stripers too, and cunner, but passed on the cunner.
My biggest tog measured 21 inch, 6.7lb.
It's a nice spot.

Hopefully next time we can meet up.

Re: Boston Kill and Grill (July edition)

Sorry for the confusion, I didn't think people would have trouble finding it. We should do another grill soon and with more planning.

Wish I could be there boys but Im a little busy shooting some nice snappers and grouper down here. Until next summer. And remember the door is always open for those who want to come down and visit/shoot some fish.
