Re: CNN's Anderson Cooper freedives with Great Whites

Seems to me that footages were taken in False Bay close to Seal Island (Cape Town). I recognize a mate on the boat...
During several trips there, I got a lot of difficulties to convince Rob the Cpt to take GW footage by staying the head "face to face" in the water, while the W sharks were attacking the bait (and sometimes the boat). He accepted but he categorically refused I plan to do a short freedive out of the cage.
Possible to do freediving with med size mako offshore close to ytuna schools. They organize the trip.
He told me that he observed different "characters" among these apex predator. Some seem less agressive than others...
The greatest which visited the boat years ago was about 21 feet long (same size as the boat!) and probably about 5000 lbs.
