Re: Breezy report

dove breezy pt. with a friend today at high tide, right before sunset, lots of crabs all over, and a lot of sand eels - big and small! was surprised to see a few togs over 15'' hiding in holes between the rocks, did practice shooting on the school of herring but only got one , saw no striped bass. Gannets were looking for fish all around... did not see them dive though. my watch water temp. 8-9C. viz. about 12 ft.

Monday 3/19 got in at noon, lots of crabs some herring few togs, water is 9c 15ft + viz on low tide

Re: Breezy report

Got in for a quick dive at Rockaway reef, water got cooler - 48, viz. on the bottom 2-3ft, at breezy pt. water a little warmer but the viz. still bad 4-5 ft. saw some tog glancing at me and disappear in to the murky water...coney island viz was like 5-7ft; swells and windy weather going to keep me out for now...

Re: Breezy report

Got in for a short dive yesterday ended up with almost 5 hours in the water (took a 40min warm up brake after 3hrs) and 1:50 bottom time 133dives, water around 48-49, not 51 like some weather stations show. viz. 12+ft, saw some goby - looking fish, school of sea robins, lots of big togs, did not see any flounder or bass, besides horseshoe crabs spider c. and skates saw blue claw crabs...
