Angry County line

Dove Ventura/LA county line yesterday,(heard of big wsb there)
"I" did not see any fish, water vis was about 30' hazy 40'
Tons and tons of large Calico's but I forgot to pack my stringer
so I did not shoot any. Tons of bait sardines and brown and green back mac's. real nice spot, haven't dove there in years!
and broke my paddle upon re-entry(CRAP!) oh well, on goes the chase for the elusive WSB!

I surfed county line today , good little barrels . The kelp is sooo thick in the shoreline right now . Catch a wave , come up and you have about 30 pounds of kelp around your leash . Saw three boats out past the kelp paddies today . I think maybe a couple of them were looking for last reamins of pilot from that collision off of matador state beach . With my luck i probably would have come face to face with the dead body . I saw them pull the wreckage out of the water , mangled the planes were . ( sound like yoda ). Im gonna dive there tomorrow . Saw lots of jumpers .

Hey Scott,
I have heard rumors of big wsb there also but didn't see any legals when I dove it last week. I dove Leo today and had decent vis of 10-20'. There was tons of bait all over and saw lots of life including a nice octopuss a couple 5' leopards some short halibut a fat 7# calico (I took 1 5#er) and tons of sheepshead. All in all a great dive, would have liked a 40#wsb but my 1 fish tasted great for dinner
Scott do you get yellowtail down at PV? I know that guys are getting them at San Clamente and am tempted to run down there w/ my motorized Sevylor dive kayak.

Pipe45,

Hi Mike,

Right out in front ,the best area is the northern most end of the bed, about middle of the public beach.

Good luck,
Scott
