Re: Dumb Cuda

How Big? Do you eat Cuda?

I'd love a skull mount of a beast, but I'd hate to waste a fish.

Re: Dumb Cuda

He wasn't a beast. Maybe 20-25. Don't eat em but we sell em to the market. That would be a cool skull mount with those teeth.

Taste great and we learned if quantity was what you're after we had to shaft um. They learn quick and seemed to be very wary of the PH noise. Wish they still paid.

Re: Dumb Cuda

Love a nice 6 footer to mount next to my Cubera Skull. Although, my taxidermist learned his lesson on this last mount. Need a new sucker.

Love me some 'cuda. About 3' and under are tasty. Smells like ass in the fish well, which is why I won't shoot them until the end of the trip but they really are delicious. Better then grouper, IMO.

Now I have to shoot one. I've heard others say it's tasty, but better than grouper? Worth a shot, I guess.

Nice Rand quote, Marcus. One of my favorite authors.

Very much agree. They are delicious. I actually stay under 30"

The smell is bad but once they are skinned it is pure white meat

Re: Dumb Cuda

One man's trash is another man's treasure. For the record: I love them
Had some cuda fingers the other day. Excellent. I wish I could convince some local restaurants to offer it but they are scared of being "poisoned". They'd rather continue selling their Basa trash.

So do Snapper, Grouper and Amberjacks ...... there is always a risk.

That being said I had fried Barracuda for dinner last night.
