One thing about YouTube is that the settings don't represent their name. 4k can still look better than 1080p on a 1080p screen because YouTube ups the bitrate.
https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/1722171?hl=en I haven't tested this out yet but I believe if you render a 1080p video @ 4k with the proper bitrate then it should look better on youtube since the bitrate will be actually be utilized. - I'll give this a whirl now while I'm thinking about it. |
