Is it red tide?
We went diving yesterday on the 40ft reef off vero beach. There were dozens of dead grunts stuck in the reef and on the sand. There were many not dead yet flopping around. Most looked raggedy like they were losing scales or something. Fish mange? Whatever was going on effected only the grunts. I didnt see other dead species. Anybody have an idea of what is going on? My first thought is red tide but i thought that hadnt made it this far north.

Re: Is it red tide?
I saw a couple of dead lobsters in 80' off Juno Sunday. Just dead in their holes.
The ones that I harvested looked okay. |

Re: Is it red tide?
Went out of Jupiter Monday morning. No dead fish or lobsters seen. Had nice blue water. Red tide seems to have pushed out of this area.

I'm glad the conditions to the south are better. Makes me hopeful that ours will improve soon too. I was thinking I wouldnt be diving for a while. Swimming around in that stuff cant be good for you

Went out of Sebastian 3x this week. Didn't see anything dead besides what was in my fish box.

Re: Is it red tide?
I am at the Jupiter Inlet every morning and I have yet to see any fish dead or under stress, I think there is way too much hype by the press, I saw one news jackass running around with a full gas mask acting like he was dying, some of us called him out and told him to never come back.
