Used Carbon Fins??? Help!

I found some used carbon fins for sale. Owner says he’s used them for about 30 dives with only minor scratches. Not sure about the dangers of buying used carbon fins and how to tell whether or not they will break on my first dive or so. Anyone have some experience with used carbon fins or the life expectancy of quality carbon fins?

Good carbon fins I.E C4, Moana, diveR, alchemy, bleutec, and a few others shouldn’t break if you treat them right. If it’s a good deal and there’s no visible cracks or chips you have nothing to worry about. I scuba/commercial dive in my carbons

Re: Used Carbon Fins??? Help!

I have used C4 fins and they are great. I am at least the 3rd owner!
Whenever you buy used stuff assess the vendor as thoroughly as the goods and you should be good.
