How long did the blanks age? Do you measure them for true/ warpage before shipping?

Hi Skygear
The blanks have aged 45 days prior to final cuts. They are checked several times for straightness including prior to shipping.

Do y'all sell them with a dovetail cut instead? I'm interested in trying my hand a building one and this looks like a good way to learn, but I would like to use one of your uhmc enclosed tracks.

Interesting when I see this pop up in my feed on Tapatalk. I keep seeing 80% and immediately my mind goes to an AR lower. Finished a few of those in the past.

Are there any custom requests you are able or have already done? Like teak, tiger wood, mahogany, blackwood, etc.?

We are not doing any custom requests at this stage but we're taking on board of your suggestions and are planning to expand options for the future.

Thanks for all your feedback guys!

That sounds perfect! Will the 67" have the ability to run 4 bands?

If you run that many yes. Build it to accommodate that many. Cut more or a large hole

The reason I asked is that there current offering specifically advertises "up to 3 bands." I didn't think the folks at Neptonics would add that restriction without a good reason. I have never built a speargun, but I am assuming the limitation had to do with the mass of the blank being able to support the additional energy. I am always looking to learn so please let me know if any of this is incorrect.

With a 67" bluewater gun that has an enclosed track, I would want to run 4 bands.

Great idea! I think if you could totally eliminate the need for a router then this becomes a feasible project for a lot more people ... especially those living in apartments or near fussy neighbours. I would pay more to have the edges finished and have a band hole slot for 2 bands ... and maybe have the tiny recess for the front line anchor. I also didn't see if there was something setup to allow line over shaft setup ... but I guess that is very easy to implement for even the most challenged DIY'er. As a last thought ... maybe have available a loading but pad that fits the back of the stock ... probably not necessary for a small gun in the video but for longer guns would be useful ... then sell all this as one single kit !!!

Seconded. I'd be all over a kit that I could simply assemble and then finish. Of course I'd expect it to cost more.
