GoPro 3 tips and Settings Advice

I just received a GoPro 3 from my lady and I am headed to Kauai with her on Friday!

I know this camera can do so many cool things but thought I would ask for some quick advice on basic settings and tips.I have never used a goPro before and any experience to share would be great!

I will be there 5 days and I have a 32 Gig card, but I am bringing my computer as well.

I plan on shooting video and stills, probably simultaneously while both diving and out of the water. I am not concerned about utilizing just the highest image size but am looking for some rational suggestions on settings, I would like to be able to print some stills.

I have purchased a head mount and was thinking of getting some sort of extension pole as well. Thoughts?

Thanks in advance!!

This Mitch guy on Youtube will give you side by side comparisons on even the most in depth settings. He has tons of videos about gopro usage underwater with Protune and different filters. great channel!

All of his videos are silent, not sure how they are useful.. Simogurinet talks about everything, this guy is deaf?
