I like the layout on everything but the ladder. Figure out a way to have it fold back even if you need to fabricate a bracket.
Good point - get the 250s. You'll never bitch about having too much power.

Jeeze, Moose! I didn't even catch that...

Good point. 13 pounds more each is negligible and they're only a few hundred dollars more each at $14,950.

25" Shafts should work.

I'm confident I can make the ladder work going back. I agree, for putting it up and down it will be better going straight back and I've also read people having issues with it mounted on the side as the ladder bracket will rooster tail and spray the starboard engine. My bracket, engines and ladder aren't scaled or mocked up to specs in the illustrations. I just threw it together when I originally drew it and didn't give it much thought.

I'd have to check, but I believe that Dusky Drive Bracket dive platform is 80 inches across. I would think that will be enough to make it work.

No doubt. I wonder how much different the fuel burn would be. Probably negligible as well.

I dare say your MPG will IMPROVE with 500 HP back there instead of 400HP - I know, crazy right?

And hey, you know someone who can help you with maintenance

With the same weight, I'd say you're probably right. Yes, maintenance offer accepted! LOL

I have a friend that went with the Tohotsu (Honda) and got ridiculous good pricing. They are just black Hondas with a different sticker.

I just checked the specs and going to the 250s gives you more displacement and a far superior induction system. I also checked the Tohotsu and it is bolt for bolt the same motor.

There is no doubt in my mind the 250 will give you better fuel burn.

30" shafts will give you the ability to have the engines higher out of the water. With heavy loads, this can be very benefical. Ran a 25' Bertram with bracket and twin 200 Yamaha's, and loved it. You will have an awesome platform. Best of luck!

I totally agree with the 30” motors. 25s take a bath way too often on a bracket when coming off a plane and at low speeds.

I wasn't really happy with the way I mocked up the pilot house. I had some time and
realized I was trying to reinvent the wheel, so I studied some other builds by guys around here and have mocked up a couple new designs. Also toying with the idea of a black hull matching dark tinted windows and a light grey interior. I scaled everything to size including the interior setup, so it's pretty accurate in terms of proportions. What do you guys think?

A?

or B?

A - Like the look more. Is there any functional/utility difference between the two?

A w/handrails along the angled slope. Broke a rod on a sportscraft designed like B also.
