Florida spearo new to texas
Hey guys, been freediving in SW Florida for the last 6 years and just moved to Galveston Texas to go to A&M. Have yet to meet any freediving spearos here in Texas. My friend has a boat and goes out spearing on scuba but I would like to find a dive buddy to come with if there are spots open or if you have a spot open. My friend goes out and hits the rigs up to 80 miles offshore. PFI freediver 1 certified and willing to do whatever it takes to get out and get some fish on the deck. Can hit 100' but comfortable diving/hunting in the 50-80 range. Don't have much money but more than willing to throw in what I can, help out, captain, and stay to clean the boat down. Also, if your ever in SWFL I can def put you on some fish and take out my family boat. Any advice on some contacts around here or if anyone does statics or any training during these cold front months, would love to get in the loop and appreciate any help, thanks guys!

Hey there,
I am in the maritime academy at A&M. I moved out here from Southern California last January and have yet to meet anyone who spearfishes. I rod and reel fish a ton to pass the time but am dying to get offshore here. I brought all my gear and it's just sitting in the closet. I'll shoot you a message on IG with my contact info. |

Re: Florida spearo new to texas
So I just got on here but I'm also in Galveston, moved here in August. I'll join you guys any chance possible. I can buddy up with you on your friend's boat to give you a buddy on the rigs!
And corpus sounds good too DrKing. I'm FII certified. I haven't gotten around to getting in the water here but I'm looking to change all that. Oh yeah. I'm also at A&M. |
