Social distancing

The Keys are shut down, but the fishing isn’t. We caught the wahoo ignoring social distancing standards and had to break up the party. Landed 8.

Nice haul! Congrats!

Is the tuna a big eye? Which species of tunas are we allowed to spear in Florida?

Black Fin Tuna. I'm pretty sure it's one of the only Tunas you can spear down in the Keys. Which is a bummer because my buddy saw a Blue Fin while we were drifting for wahoo.

Can you imagine spearing a 600lb Bluefin? I had a Jewfish grab a big RS I hit good and solid through the head and that bad boy keel-hauled me over and under a very large ledge off of Canaveral.

I know open water freediving is different, but man what a rush it would be to hook up with a Horse Mackerel….
