Christmas Gift Ideas
What are some ideas for Christmas gifts for sailors? Give us some ideas that are for higher budgets (couple hundred dollars or higher) and something for people with lower budgets.
Higher budget: Chartplotter Bundle (chartplotter + Navionics+ chip). Many chartplotters come as a bundle with a Nav+ chip (Lowrance, Raymarine, Humminbird and more) Price range a few hundred dollars and up. Advantage: save hundreds of dollars by bundling Lower budget: Navionics app for phone or tablet. Price range $9.99 - ~$60 I suggest these because I have used them a LOT and love them. Give us some gift ideas that you've used and loved. |

Re: Christmas Gift Ideas
Some think these aren't personal or thoughtful enough but I find them to always be the perfect size, color and style!

Re: Christmas Gift Ideas
Big Lots had a Corona beer gift pack for 10 bucks. Its a surboard with a bottle opener on it,two beer glasses and lime salt packs.
Throw in a 12 pack of beer, flip flops and a Buffett CD and they are set! I get my FIL the Sammy Adams seasonal variety pack every year.

Re: Christmas Gift Ideas
Holiday time is often a little hard for our deployed soldiers.A small care package goes a long way!
Cruising Outpost gives FREE subscriptions to active military. If you know anyone deployed get them the magazine.Give them something to take their mind off their troubles and maybe make a new sailor.

Re: Christmas Gift Ideas
I know this is my own product but we make a trauma kit specifically for Watermen who travel, shore dive, or like a small but effective kit. I designed this kit after the IFAK we used in the Marines. Each product has its own pocket in a sleeve, this allows you to be on a rocking bloody boat and still know exactly where to go for each item.

Re: Christmas Gift Ideas
Sailboats sometimes get a little funny smelling if your not on top of the bilge,AC or the head.
Bought some little Yankee candles for my live aboard buddies.Smells good and warms the boat!We have a outlet near the lake but you can get them delivered ordered online.
