Jumped in for a quick shore dive yesterdAy on the south side of the point out here in montAuk.... Decent viz especially considering the swell running and tons of fish, limited out on bass in the first three dives with the second fish being 40 pounds on the dot.....

It's clean as a whistle when I take the boat out in January. Vis gotta be over 20 ft on any calm days. Looks tropical other than the ice floes.

Hit the south side again today for a shore dive with my buddy. Some decent pockets of viz out there and the fish still holding..... Ended with 2 fish over 40 and one under between the two of us...... Beatifull day with no wind and 68 degree water temps....

Put the beat dwn w.my 110 today. It was questionably the best vis ive seen inshore jersey to date. I got vis up to prob 20+ft.which made the hunt much more dificult. Awesome day to dive

dove SRI monday afternoon at hi tide. 15-20ft vis. lotsa short bass and big tog. no triggers. wanted to slay some triggers but didnt see any. back at it next week. just bought a 23' steiger craft, shes going to montauk in a week.

hahaha that old girl is going up to boothbay harbor, maine to my buddys house. its crazy expensive to operate/maintain the new ride is much nicer and way more efficient.... fyi guy in my marina told me he was bailing mahi mahi less than 20 miles outta montauk.
