props to Deepseasupply

I have been using a backplate and wing from this company for a year now and I cannot say enough good things about these guys and the product. I just got off the phone with them trying to order a new wing and they refused to sell it to me becuase I was wrong. Same as when I bought the first time, The guy added all my weight and suit bouyancy for me right there on the phone and told me what wing I needed. I have a 26 lb lift wing that has worked great for a year with 80 and 85 tanks. I have some new 120 tanks on the way, and my math stated I needed more bouyancy. So I was wanting to order a 30 or 35lb wing. I don't need it is the result. Great people. I was just wanting to order what I thought I needed and the guy started asking why?, we did the math, and he prevented me from wasting money and screwing up. And I learned alot about weighting and bouyancy again (I forgot last years lesson). Anyway I hope it's OK to plug Deepseasupply.com as I am just a happy customer and have zero investment or involvment and don't know anyone there personally or anything. The same people saved me from myself when I originally ordered my BP/wing settup last year. I wanted all sorts of options and stuff I didn't need.If you'll listen, they will tell you what you most likely really want and need.

Re: props to Deepseasupply

Ditto to what Grin had to say. Ordered a complete back plate rig from DSS last Monday, received it on Friday. Called them prior to placing my order and was told that if I had not called, they would have called me prior to shipping anything. Tobin George relates that they want to ensure that diver is getting the right things not too much or to little. Grin is right the analysis to select the proper wing is complicated, and DSS wants to get it right for each diver. Conversation took at least 15 min. and at the end I was sure I had picked the right rig from the right supplier. My rig/order came complete in one box, was 100% correct, and easy to put together with instructions furnished. I made two dives yesterday using my new gear, and it was everything promised. In fact one of my charter clients tried to by the rig off my back. Referred him and his buddy to DSS web site. I also have no economic/financial stake, but good service from people who care and deliver on their claims is not easy to find, and should not go without notice.
