Re: Blue Water Safari with Keith

I did not get any issues with safety during my trip.
He spearfished a bit during the trip but nothing unfair at all.
The boat for sure could be better maintained but I didn't feel in danger at any time.
But for sure experiences and expectations can be differents sometimes. Good to have feedback anyway
Btw... will be back with him in October for YFT

I tried to email them at tuffextreme@gmail.com with a few important questions, but they haven't responded. That was 9 days ago. Do these guys not check their email?

I know he had an emergency and had to cancel a recent speech he was supposed to give to a club I'm in. I would just give them a call. I get through every time.

He'll get back to you.

Like someone else said Keith had an emergency last week so he's probably had a lot goin the past few days.

Wouldn't hurt to shoot another e-mail though. There's a tuffextreme e-mail and I think there's an anglersurf131 e-mail that keith may have posted earlier. Facebook works also for those so inclined.

Did he ever respond? I talk to him every day on FB. Might want to hit him up there.

Nope. Can you provide a little more info on how to contact "Keith" on Facebook. Does he have a last name to help narrow things down?

Re: Blue Water Safari with Keith

I didn't get a hold of Keith, but did talk to another lady who worked there. She referred me to maximum scuba to rent gear, but they said they have no long guns to rent. They will check with Jeff and call me back Monday.

I have a 100ft green bungee float line, mako inflatable float, and RA 120 with reel. I prefer not to bring the gun as that makes packing harder and it's not ideal for hunting anyhow. I would like a RA style (pipe) gun so I could attach my gopro mount, preferably 130 or higher. I'd like breakaway, slip tip sounds optimal. I also need a better float or two. The rest of the gear I have and can bring.

If someone can help me borrow/rent the gear, I'm ready to chip in on the deposit.

Thanks.

If you end up needing to buy anything give Spear America a Call. I am friends with the owner and he has the best prices I have ever seen.

Re: Blue Water Safari with Keith

I don't want to buy a gun just for this (I just sold 2 and still have 3), but I do need a wahoo setup to book on this trip. I just got airfare, so I'll be in Texas during the trip. If I can get a lock on a gun, then I'll sign up. The "maximum scuba" shop they recommended doesn't have any blue water guns. Any ideas for a rental place?
