Re: Carbon Fin Reviews
I'm highly impressed by my Dive R carbons, the shape of the pockets make surface swimming very easy and due to the length it does not take much to get to depth. My Bleutec's are still my baby, very soft and comfortable with the Pathos pockets, very snappy coming up from deep. I may not dive as deep as the others on here, no more than 90 feet but with the DiveR and Bluetec's they have been the best out of all the carbons that I have, I like the Bluetec's just a bit better because they are much softer and weighs about 2 lbs less than my Dive R combo.

Re: Carbon Fin Reviews
10 weeks diving on the subcrafts pretty much every single day all day. These fins are awesome, as long as they don't break I think I've found my last pair of fins.

Re: Carbon Fin Reviews
oh yeah andy I got some doggies in bora bora! All the fish are super deep over there because the locals have hammered it pretty hard but i got a few fish. Biggest was only about 40lbs but there were a couple monsters around, one big bastard spooled my 70m reel and drug me down from 30ft to 70ft past my perch at 65 before I even knew what happened and my shot pulled. Honestly a really good place to go on vacation with the wife or gf, hang out with them all day then dive the few hours before sunset when there are fish go back take a shower and head out to dinner. I probably wouldn't have shot a thing if I wasn't diving in hawaii for a full 8 weeks prior though and had been working depth and bottom times hard, I swear you never saw a fish till you got down to 70+ and sat there for a little while...

Re: Carbon Fin Reviews
Thanks Kyle will wait and see if they get them back into full production, yep those pathos pockets are the go I got them on my Trygon blades
Good work on the doggies, you are pretty keen shooting them on a reel gun as even a 40lber can give you a beating.I have enough issues trying to control them on a floatline. Got a bunch of Kiwis including Shirls(pees of back of boat, I'm sure you remember )diving Indo at the mo and they have found the dogs real hard going but doing ok on Spanish,GT and some good jobfish up to 25lb! Sorry for the thread derail.... |

25lbs is a huge jobbie, I only saw one in 2 weeks in bora bora when i was carrying the oceanborn rigged for doggies so he got a pass. Shirly is awesome hahaha, glad the kiwi crew is crushing fish all over the place. Did they go with that Geoff guy? Derail away, bleutec or subcraft or go home! Already been decided

Re: Carbon Fin Reviews
well shit, petros just had fins designed and made for him and he has been testing them and says they are better than the subcrafts.
I don't need new fins I don't need new fins I don't need new fins....

Re: Carbon Fin Reviews
Are they the bleutecs? Cause he also told me something to the affect that he has bleutecs that they don't sell publicly and they make it specifically for him to sell. I have a pair, they're great!

Re: Carbon Fin Reviews
Been reading this forum pretty intensely.
Cracked my crappy plastic blades and thinking of making the plunge into carbon fibers... Sounds to me like I should get: http://www.bleutec.eu/en/fins/blades...54-spearo.html with the pathos footpockets http://www.bleutec.eu/en/fins/footpo...s-pockets.html Any objections? |
