Re: Daily Vis Report Thread

Dove Newport yesterday. Visibility was about 12 feet for one hour and then it got to about 5 feet as the tide was moving.
Sakonnet lighthouse this morning was pretty hazy about 6 feet.
Lots of big togs. Saw one just-a-tad-too-small bass and got an albie.

Re: Daily Vis Report Thread

Beavertail this afternoon, bottom of tide. Initially vis was around 8-9, dropped to 4-5 as tide picked up. Shot two togs. My bad for not realizing BSB were open again as of today... some nice ones hanging on the bottom. Many stripers seen, all small. Lots of scup around too. Water still quite warm... almost too toasty in my 5mm.

Castle Hill, newport - viz 4ft Cold wind, chop, heavy current... Togs are still here, but hiden in the murk.
PS: scuba guys on the black inflatable, I can't convince you to not shot fish using tanks, but would you use individual flags, when you dive in murky water, please?! For your own safety.

45-55 feet is loaded with solid tog. I cant get there diving so I'm cheating with a rod and reel. Most boats easily hitting the 10 tog limit.

Keep an eye out there is a decent number of keeper Cod around.

From the boat the anchor is visibly to 20' down so vis should be good.
