Need Help! Older JBL Mini Magnum

Hi,

I picked this JBL Mini Magum second hand for $10.00. I totally disassembled and cleaned and reassembled it. My question is, I am trying to figure out how to wrap the shock cord. The gun is discontinued 15 years ago. If you look, there is no place to do a double wrap. I am thinking of doing one of the auto coil things but wanted to reach out to the site to see if you guys have any ideas. Note: The front has a half moon indentation but the line is in the way of the bands when they are installed.

Thanks,

Dean

You can look at the patent for that gun which is US3262441A. Here is the second page diagram that shows that muzzle. I think the shooting line does go around that curved ident in the front as JBL guns have a bungee in the shooting line which pulls the line tight.

After each use stick the gun end for end in a tub of water and get all the salt off it. That way it will stay looking good for years to come. About quarter of a hour will do and then dry it off in the shade. Good luck and hope you shoot plenty with it.
