Re: Tales of the growing Police State

Thanks for posting this. I read about it earlier and it's a huge perversion of police powers. Thank god for social media that brings alertness to this gross abuse. Even his supervisor stood up for him. Hopefully, both of them get fired. That heroic, and I don't use that term loosely, woman stood up to what was right. F those idiots that sought to subvert the rule of law.

Re: Tales of the growing Police State

Yea, I've seen that as well. This cop was fired and deserved it.
I don't want to turn this into a cop bashing thread. You'll have your bad apples but that isn't representative of the entire force.
The previous instance w/ the Salt Lake city deputy arresting/harassing a nurse is out of control though...and needs to be publicized. Even his supervisor stuck up for his civil liberty stomping actions...and hasn't been punished to date...from what I understand. She was just a nurse doing the best job she could. That's the BS that should be publicized.

HA HA, no victim, no crime. All they want is your money and compliance.

That's pretty funny, Tech. I'm glad that the cops were cool. Personally, I find the cell phones a menace to traffic. I'm one that really loves to set my speed limit ten miles/hr over on cruise and relax. I then come across people that are constantly varying from +- 10 miles/hr around the speed limit driving in the left hand lane. Most times than not, I see them on a cell phone when I finally get past them.

Re: Tales of the growing Police State

So now satire and parody will get you arrested. The thugs with guns will find out that parody is really free speech and clearly covered under the 1st amendment. I think the Miami police dept have already damaged their reputation.
