...yet another country we've attacked that deserves it's own thread.

Another Conspiracy Theory Becomes Fact: The Entire Oil Collapse Is All About Crushing Russian Control Over Syria

Quote:
And so the great chess game involving Saudi Arabia, Russia, the United States, Qatar, Syria, ISIS, Ukraine, natural gas and lots and lots of oil, is finally revealed...

Obama To Allow "Moderate" Syrian Rebels Call In B-1B Bombers For Air Support

Quote:
While Obama desperately tries to stick to his now crushed "Nobel peace prize winner" image, by not succumbing to an all-out land war in the one nation where his progressive "pacifism" brought him fame (and according to some, the presidency), namely Iraq, the rest of militant, "interventionist" US foreign policy is rapidly starting to resemble that waged by the most brutally rabid, neo-con Republican leader. Case in point an absolute stunner reported minutes ago by the WSJ, according to which the White House has decided to provide pickup trucks equipped with mounted machine guns and radios for calling in U.S. airstrikes to some moderate Syrian rebels aided by American B-1B bombers!

Re: Syria

Uhm...why is the US deploying waging war in Syria? Is there not a country in the middle east that isn't a US puppet that we are not bombing??? I hope everyone recognizes the ramifications of such. We've become one of the most hated countries in the world. Yea...Freedoming the SHIT out of the rest of the world. Don't be surprised when the rest of the world is done with our crap and form an alliance to defeat us. It's already happening in the money markets. Currency wars always lead to real wars. I guess Americans won't wake up until they start getting bombed.

Syria Shoots Down US Drone

Quote:
Perhaps it is purely a coincidence that on the day in which the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (which as profiled earlier is anything but) released several new YouTube clips "confirming" a poison gas chemcial attack by the Assad army had killed 6 people in the country, that several hours later a US drone was shot down by the Syrian military according to CNN, which cites Syria's state-run news agency reported Tuesday. Then again, perhaps not...

"Disturbed" US Will Hold Syria Accountable For Chemical Weapons Attack, Kerry Says

Quote:
...While there’s no doubt that the use of chemical weapons is horrific, we would once again note that at the end of the day, this may well be about something different:

Actually, the highest priority is not "Daesh" which is a populist distraction aided by some truly Hollywood-grade video editing and YouTube clips, but who controls the ground under Assad's feet: that all important gateway from the middle east into Turkey, and then, Europe. A gateway that is critical to the one nation that has all the natural gas in the world, and no end market to sell it to: Qatar.

Of course, Assad knows all of this: late last year, Assad told French reporters, “let’s be honest: Had Qatar not paid money to those terrorists at that time, and had Turkey not supported them logistically, and had not the West supported them politically, things would have been different. If we in Syria had problems and mistakes before the crisis, which is normal, this doesn’t necessarily mean that the events had internal causes”.

Assad continued, daring to call the staged US spade precisely what it was: he called its air strikes "merely cosmetic" and said that “terrorism cannot be destroyed from the air.” Assad added that “saying that the alliance’s airstrikes are helping us is not true." Which is why Time had to spin an unsourced article to "prove" that there was in fact a connection between the two.

Re: Syria

Syria "Welcomes" Larger Russia Presence

Quote:
Following Vladimir Putin's demands for an "immediate cessation of military activities" in Yemen, AFP reports Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's comment during a recent interview that "with complete confidence that we welcome any widening of the Russian presence in the eastern Mediterranean and on Syrian coasts and ports," including the port of Tartus. Amid the Western-backed opposition National Coalition's planned boycott of talks, Assad pointedly remarked, "the negotiating parties must be independent and must reflect what the Syrian people want... people would not accept that their future, their fate, or their rules are decided from outside."

Syria would welcome an increased Russian military presence at its sea ports, President Bashar al-Assad said in an interview with Russian news channels published Friday. As AFP reports,

"I can say with complete confidence that we welcome any widening of the Russian presence in the eastern Mediterranean and on Syrian coasts and ports," including the port of Tartus, Assad said.

"For us, the larger this presence in our neighbourhood, the better it is for stability in this region," he told journalists.
Russia operates a naval base in Tartus along Syria's western shores that includes warships, barracks and warehouses...

Re: Syria

Well, I guess there are two places WW 3 could start: Ukraine, and/or Syria. If we would quit annoying the Russians with unnecessary provocations, this would be a lot less likely to happen.

Re: Syria

Russia just needs to stop putting itself so close to our/NATO military equipment.

Turkey Permits U.S. To Use Its Airbase For Air Strikes Against Syria

Quote:
Earlier we asked in "one may wonder if NATO-member Turkey's land invasion of Syria, which many have said was long overdue following months of rhetoric and belligerent posturing, under the pretext of ISIS "liberation", has just begun." A following report from the WSJ largely answers our question: citing unnamed defense officials, WSJ reports that after months of negotiations, "Turkey has agreed to let the U.S. military carry out air strikes against Syri...er, I mean Islamic State fighters from a U.S. air base near the Syrian border.

Another anonymous author, great! Do you not tell everyone about propaganda? Add to your Russia today posting. You are the Russian troll.

Do you try hard to be an abrasive antagonist or were you born that way? Seriously, dude...lighten up.
"Submitted by Tyler Durden " He's the owner of the website and has submitted MANY articles that has exposed a LOT of corruption. Any how, MANY great authors used pen names for various reasons. Tyler in particular has a very good reason. He's constantly pissing off very corrupt rich people that would love to shut him up.

Exactly what is it that bothers you about the article? Let's talk about it.

We are all Tyler Durden, right.
He is not the owner to my knowledge. No one claims ownership. Try the Bulgarian, Ivitch or something. Remember, used to work for Goldman, busted for insider funny stuff. Many writers, all no names why? I like some of the articles, but, questions lots of questions. This "Tyler", is no "great author". Better check with Moscow.

Nice straw man set up. I've seen many things that website has exposed that has come true and embarrassed a lot of corrupt money. It is still the best reality financial site I can find. I'd be happy if you could point me to a better one.
BTW, your Russian implication is very laughable.

Re: Syria

No strawman. Search, look it's there. The Goldman ex is the Bulgarian. No single website has your " reality " financial news. Read zero no problem, just remember where the source comes from. Eh, you already know, right? As a Putin operative, nothing goes out unless approved.
