Training and equipping.

New US-Trained Rebels in Syria Gave Their Weapons to al-Qaeda

Quote:
It’s already been heavily reported how badly the first class of New Syrian Forces (NSF), also known as Division 30, did after being trained by the US and sent into Syria. There were 54 of them to start, and last week Centcom conceded there were only “four or five left.” This may still look like a runaway success compared to the second class.

The second class entered Syria by way of Turkey on Friday, and according to reports there were between 70 and 75 of them in total. Today, reports out of Syria suggest that the group immediately took its weapons and vehicles to al-Qaeda territory and turned them all over to them...
Who are the real terrorists??

Re: Syria

Checkmate. Our gov't has egg on its face. Just think how happy all the native Europeans will be if the migrant hordes stop. All this investment by the CIA only to get wiped out by the Russians and Iran willing to help stop THE ISIS. YEA! We're joining forces to stop the bad guys!!
The CIA's true colours are shining thru. Oh, what a wicked web we weave...

Endgame: Putin To Bomb ISIS With Or Without Obama

Quote:
As Bloomberg reports, "President Vladimir Putin, determined to strengthen Russia’s only military outpost in the Middle East, is preparing to launch unilateral airstrikes against Islamic State from inside Syria if the U.S. rejects his proposal to join forces, two people familiar with the matter said."...

In Latest Embarrassment, US-Trained Syrian Fighters Surrender "Pick-Up Trucks, Ammo" To Al-Qaeda

Quote:
“Let’s not kid ourselves, that’s a joke. This is just a total failure,” Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-N.H.) and Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.) said.

Training those “four or five” freedom fighters has so far cost US taxpayers north of $40 million,

Re: Syria

Wow, now we have Russia, China, and Iran helping out Assad in Syria to fight ISIS. Our gov't doesn't want to help them though. Go figure.
Seemingly, with all of our military might and trillions of dollars spent, we should have no problem in wiping ISIS out. *tongue in cheek*

John McCain: "My friends, we MUST stop ISIS." "Oh wait, Putin is going after ISIS...we MUST stop Putin."

Quote:
Today on the Senate Floor McCain is going after Putin and Russia for doing the EXACT SAME THING HE WANTS TO TO; More bombing and military intervention in the middle east.

The insane bloodthirsty John McInsane should be in an asylum - NOT in the U.S. Senate.

Re: Syria

One day they're ISIS, the next they're "CIA Backed Rebels".

Washington Blasts Putin For Russian Strikes On "CIA-Backed Rebels" In Syria

Quote:
On Wednesday, we said that while even we were surprised at how quickly the Western propaganda machine was put into motion in the wake of Russia’s first airstrikes in Syria, it wasn’t at all surprising to see reports surface that Moscow was targeting US-backed forces rather than ISIS. Here’s how we put it:

Followiing Russian lawmakers’ move to officially sanction airstrikes in Syria, Moscow wasted no time in launching its first round of air raids. In turn, the West wasted no time in contending that Russia is targeting areas that aren’t known to be strategically significant for ISIS. Here’s a look at two headlines which do a nice job of summarizing all of the rhetoric which you’re about to hear emanating ceaselessly from every corner of the Western world in the coming days and weeks:
U.S. IS CONCERNED RUSSIA'S INTENT IS PROTECTING ASSAD: KERRY
U.S. HAS 'GRAVE CONCERNS' IF RUSSIA STRIKES OUTSIDE ISIL AREAS...

Re: Syria

Russia Claims ISIS Now On The Ropes As Fighters Desert After 60 Airstrikes In 72 Hours

Quote:
....One question that’s been asked repeatedly over the past thirteen months is why Washington has been unable to achieve the Pentagon’s stated goal of “degrading and defeating” ISIS despite the fact that the “battle” pits the most advanced air force on the planet against what amounts to a ragtag band of militants running around the desert in basketball shoes.

Those of a skeptical persuasion have been inclined to suggest that perhaps the US isn’t fully committed to the fight. Explanations for that suggestion range from the mainstream (the White House is loathe to get the US into another Mid-East war) to the “conspiratorial” (the CIA created ISIS and thus doesn’t want to destroy the group due to its value as a strategic asset).

The implication in all of this is that a modern army that was truly determined to destroy the group could likely do so in a matter of months if not weeks and so once Russia began flying sorties from Latakia, the world was anxious t o see just how long the various rebel groups operating in Syria could hold up under bombardment by the Russian air force.

The answer, apparently, is “less than a week.”

On Saturday, the Russian Ministry of Defense said it has conducted 60 bombing runs in 72 hours, hitting more than 50 ISIS targets...
