Congresswoman Calls US Effort To Oust Assad "Illegal," Accuses CIA Of Backing Terroists

Quote:
"The US and the CIA should stop this illegal and counterproductive war to overthrow the Syrian government. It puts us in that position of a possible head to head conflict with Russia which brings us... to the brink of a World War III-type scenario."...

Re: Syria

Now there's a "Carly" I can get behind (support and encourage). This woman speaks truth.

Our G is totally run-over by Saudi/Israel interests. You'd have to be a fookin moron not to see it.

How does it make sense to destabilize all of the middle east in terms of US interests, unless "US" interests are really not our interests?

WAKE THE **** UP.

Re: Syria

Dear Fellow Americans: Do You Have Any Idea What’s Being Done In Your Name In Syria?

Quote:
Americans have some vague understanding that the U.S. wants Syria’s Assad to go, while Russia wants him to stay.

And Americans know that the U.S. “war against ISIS” hasn’t done much, while the Russians have been pounding Syrian targets with jets.

But Americans have no idea that the U.S. is deploying fighter jets designed solely to engage in plane-to-plane dogfighting … in order to counter the Russians.

And we don’t understand that the U.S. is arming the Syrian “rebels” with shoulder-fired weapons to bring down airplanes (this comes a week after ISIS may have used a Manpad to shoot down a Russian civilian airliner.)

Americans don’t know that sending Manpads into Syria and trying to establish a no-fly zone is what Al Qaeda leaders have been ASKING FOR, and that ISIS and Al Qaeda will end up with all of the weapons which the U.S. sends to Syria...

Re: Syria

Cool!! It appears we have another non-corrupt politician in Congress.

US Congresswoman Introduces Bill To Stop "Illegal" War On Assad; Says CIA Ops Must Stop

Quote:
Last month, US Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, who fought in Iraq - twice, went on CNN and laid bare Washington’s Syria strategy.

In a remarkably candid interview with Wolf Blitzer, Gabbard calls Washington’s effort to oust Assad “counterproductive” and “illegal” before taking it a step further and accusing the CIA of arming the very same terrorists who The White House insists are "sworn enemies.”

In short, Gabbard all but tells the American public that the government is lying to them and may end up inadvertently starting “World War III.”...

Re: Syria

In New Video, A Grateful Al-Qaeda Thanks US For Supplying Anti-Tank Missiles

Quote:
....“Among seven areas that Syrian state media listed as targets of Russian strikes, only one—an area east of the town of Salamiyah in Hama province—has a known presence of Islamic State fighters. The other areas listed are largely dominated by moderate rebel factions or Islamist groups, such as Ahrar al-Sham and the al Qaeda-affiliated Nusra Front.”
Yes, “moderate rebel factions such as the al-Qaeda-affiliated Nusra Front.”

Put simply, the US had become so desperate to preserve whatever was left of the strategy to overthrow Assad, that Washington had the mainstream media floating trial balloons to see if the public would accept the characterization of al-Qaeda as “moderate.”

Generally speaking, most Americans didn’t notice, presumably because they were too busy ogling at Russian fighter jets and/or Islamic State’s latest Hollywood special (which at the time was a clip of an SAA fighter being run over by a tank), but for anyone who did pick up on the fact that the mainstream US media had just officially (and posthumously) labeled Osama Bin Laden a “moderate”, the farce was complete. ...

Re: Syria

So I wonder how the MSM/CIA is going to spin the downing of Russian SU-24 by Turkey.
Russia is after ISIS and NATO member Turkey is also allegedly after ISIS, according to the MSM. That's all BS though, as this downing indicates.
Turkey would've needed those F-16's already scrambled w/ an itchy trigger finger in order to down that plane due to the very short amount of time spent skirting Turkey's border. Russia wouldn't send just one plane into Turkey's airspace IF they were chasing bad guys into Turkey. This is all BS.
Turkey was just pissed that Russia killed their ISIS oil supply that they were buying, AGAINST sanctions put into place that the US had to know about.
Yep, the DC spin machine is going to have a tough time covering up this mess.
If Turkey was really concerned about planes in their airspace, the SOP is to intercept/chase off the plane, not just knock it out of the sky. IDK WTH Turkey is thinking. Russia can mess them up quickly...NATO or not.

Quote:
Elsewhere, the Turkish army released what it claims is a radar path analysis of the downed jet's flight path:

At first blush it is not clear how the airspace violating jet could have received "10 warnings" in the several seconds it took to cross what the Turks claim was the offending Turkish territory, especially since the plane ultimately crashed in Syrian territory.

Russian Pilots Executed While Parachuting: Turkish Media

Quote:
If Putin was angry when Turkey shot down a Russian plane, which may or may not have crossed Turkish territory - reports on both sides are conflicting - he will be absolutely livid to learn that, according to Turkey's Dogan News, the Russian pilots who had parachuted in an attempt to save their lives after the plane was shot down, had been executed while parachuting down by local rebels, which considering the video released earlier belonged to the Free Syrian Army, are same "rebels" who are funded directly by the CIA.
NATO needs to boot Turkey out and let Russia have their way with them. We have a lot more in common values w/ Russia than M.E. countries that won't take care of themselves.

I agree, but it's never that simple is it? The Islamic world has the most complicated alliances and grudges. Leaves few options for sorting them out.

Re: Syria

Russia Suspends Military Cooperation With Turkey, Will Use Warships To "Destroy Any Threats To Russian Planes"
Quote:
Despite demands from France's Hollande, America's Obama, and NATO's Stoltenberg that this situation not esclate, it appears Putin is not taking the shooting down of a fighter jet lying down. The seemingly cagey confirmation by NATO and Obama of Turkey's claims that Russia invaded its airspace has been rebuked by Russia which claims the Hmeimim airbase radar shows the attacking Turkish plane violating Syrian airspace. In response, Russia is moving a Cruiser 'Moskva' off the coast to strengthen air-defenses - just as French and US carriers are on their way.
