Need help on shafts

Okay so I have a riffe standard series 56' and have some shaft questions. I am wanting to put 3 bands 9/16 on it but my 9/32 shaft only has two Shark fins. So I have baught another 5/16 shaft that has 3 so I can load all 3 bands. My onley issue is the new shaft is much shorter 50 or 52 compared to my only shaft which is 58 I believe. So I was wondering what are the pros and cons of having a shorter shaft but can load all three bands or using my longer shaft and putting three bands on it and risking spear whip. Any help would he great thank you!

I get that but will it cause the gun to be less accurate

Re: Need help on shafts

In either case, 3 x 9/16" bands on a 9/32" shaft is going to have worse performance (accuracy and penetration) than just two reasonably tight bands.

Plus you will have more recoil with 3 bands. which is never good for accuracy.

The shorter shaft will probably shoot less shitty than the longer shaft (which will whip more) with three bands.

The only reason for three is if you want to run very loose bands. But, not sure why you would want that though.
