Emma Wood Report

I dove the out side reef/kelp at Emma Wood today around 1:00pm. This is the second time I have tried diving there but the first time that had visibility. It was a pretty fun dive. Viz was about 10ft with some spots a little more. I could see the bottom pretty much the whole time. I saw lots of bait fish and a couple of kelp crabs but not much else. I was trying for lobster but the reef is pretty flat with only cobble stones and not really any holes for a bug to hide in. That doesn't mean they aren't there though. I was thinking about going out there tomorrow with a gun, around the same time, if any one wants to join. It's not often this spot has good viz. Let me know.

Ive never seen it clear. The outer cloud break kelp might hold some monsters...

Re: Emma Wood Report

Visibility was about as good as it gets. I went out surfing... I was really bummed I didn't have my gear with me.

It seemed like the swell was picking up and the visibility was deteriorating later in the day. Fingers crossed for tomorrow. Good luck.
