Visability during the seasons

Hello,
Started freediving this summer and fell in love with the sport. Now that summer is over what does visibility look like during the other seasons? I'm sure currents underwater title flow changes? Thus affecting visibility? Better? Worse?

Way, way better in the winter as long as the storms are kept to a minimum. All the runoff stirs things up pretty bed usually.

In San Diego we get the best vis during October and November. At times it can reach 50 ft at La Jolla. Only happens infrequently.

I'm of course speaking of the coast. Not the channel islands.

Yea, I'm talking catalina. Something interesting I have noticed here is during winter sometimes after a large swell and storm the viz is shot to shit, other times it gets a lot better, so you never know what a winter storm will bring out here. Could be 10ft. viz or 50+!

Summer over? Maybe on the calendar. Water temps at 73 to 76 degrees. Dodos local.
