MiddleGrounds...The 3 Angels Wreck

Headed out on HeadHunter to the Grounds for a few days. Aboard were SpearTen, Chuck Simkins, Bucket and myself. Conditions were excellent. Good viz averaging 60 feet, 80 degree water and lots of fish everywhere.

We were crashing them pretty good when I noticed that there were no boats in the area we were in and decided to drop SpearTen and Bucket on the infamous 3 Angels wreck for a quick dive. We only dive this spot a few times a year and the boat rule is "one" square tail per diver, divers choice.

The show on the scope was smoking and the team of Bucket and SpearTen hit the water. Shortly later they surfaced with these two! Damn, this spot always produces exceptional fish!

Chuck and SpearTen also did a dive on a close shallow pinnacle and swam into a school of Muttons. It's spawning time on the grounds for Muttons and they showed great judgement and only shot these two beauties.

Anyway, it was a great trip. The Big Rusty weighed 65 Lb's and tied Bucket's personal best. The Cubera was 80 Lb's! Catch the grounds soon if you can, the big MG Charter Shootoff next w/e should be a blast with conditions like these!
