Greater Hammerheads in our area
Fished and dove the last week end all days. Had several large Greater Hammerheads play around Dykoke's Hull. Some stayed for up to 5 minutes sniffing the blood that seeped from the scuppers. Sharks were fearless of people and quite motivated to get a meal from us. You could actually put your hands on them while the sniffed around and it would not spook them.
Most activities occurred on the 120 ledge out front of Jupiter Inlet Catch a cool looking Houndy and this little red guy, looks like a B-liner or some type, while degassing some nitrogen. The little red guy was set free after his photo opt. |

Re: Greater Hammerheads in our area
It's a creole fish. They are common on wrecks.

PBFD Bull Shark Fest 2 - YouTube
SLI 3/3/12 Title is misleading this is part of a video I shot of us spearing cobia off bulls. The first shark to appear was a greater hammerhead. Flashers are down about 50' we were in 80-90 fsw depth water. I dove down but saw no cobias on him. Last edited by SpearMax; 03-20-2012 at 08:00 AM. Reason: Embed video player |
