Re: Rail guns..Railguns...Rail-guns...and a roller too
Thanks, It looks much nicer in person, good speargun photos are hard to take. They often need to have 5 or 6 photos blended together and made into one to get all the details. The clear coat isnt dead glass smooth, I would probably need to spend a little time with some wetsanding between a few more coats, but i really dont mind. Words cannot express how many nights and days i spent tinkering with this gun, I am very much ready to be done with it. Slap the reel on and I wont ever need to do anything but replace the bands and mono. I plan on making it my regular workhorse gun.
As far as the paint is concerned, I went to the art store and bought fluorescent green acrylic paint in a fancy ass metal tube and then chea. It cost 5.99 but I can literally paint a dozen guns with the small tube. I actually use two different colors of paint but liked the brighter green better and redid the whole thing over again... I love the marbled look that can be made with two colors, it takes a little getting used to, but getting proper blending down can sometimes be a pain. |

Re: Rail guns..Railguns...Rail-guns...and a roller too
Aww dont you worry sunshine. Pinky is still around. I just couldn't justify such a short gun that i dont use as often to have that bad ass Meadros mech. I wanted it on my day to day gun.
Pinky is currently paired with the pathos handle awaiting some shaping and possibly get 6 inches cut off...to make into a real shitty vis/hole gun. It was a 100cm gun and it is too short for my day to day keys shooting and too long for those low vis diving days. It just didn't flow with what the arsenal I am trying to put together. |
