They've got different muzzles, the current muzzle I'm using(and wanted to test out)has the elevated band on the muzzle, plus an added 17.5mm band and a notched shaft. Both of these muzzles are open muzzled. I've shot the other more standard open muzzle as well and like it too. That one has a shorter shaft overhang and flopper rests on the muzzle, like you mentioned earlier, and has a shark fin shaft. The high band model has about ,6" more overhang and the flopper rest on the top instead.

As far as the aluminium goes , I haven't shot any of the aluminum guns, but I did see Kyle(yard sale josh) got some aluminium guns and he seems to thoroughly like them. If I had a choice I'd get a carbon model for anything 90cm and over. I prefer a light gun, and like how they move in the water, and transporting them to the water... Lol
