Re: WTB: Fish Finder/Chartplotter Combo

I'm going to start off by lasting I'm a garmin fan. I have a Cape Horn 17 with a garmin 740s without radar and a standard transducer. I like to travel from east coast to west coast and to the keys regularly offshore fishing and diving the 740 is pricey but it fits my needs and I would by another one in a heart beat it's also very user friendly. I'm not sure of your budget or needs and the layout of your boat because the 740 is a touch screen and it sucks when the screen gets wet.

I would highly recommend this garmin echomap. Not to small of a unit where it's a pain to see the screen. If I wasn't half blind this is what I would have on my boat.

For a low budget color lowrance makes a good little unit

And

Lowrance also has one in blk and white

Regardless of witch unit you get always take it off the boat when not in use to keep it out of the weather and keep it out of the sun as much as possible the sun will kill the screens

I have a Furuno GP35 (maybe GP32?) with WAAS antenna power cord and bracket to sell.
GPS only, no chart plotter or sounder but a solid GPS.
