FL Spearo moving to Pendleton/Oceanside
Howdy,
My name is John I am about to make to move over to the other coast in a couple of weeks. I wanted to make an introduction as I will most likely be trolling these threads looking for spots and dive buddies once I get settled. In the mean time do you all have any recommendations on a wet suit? Right now I have a 2 piece open cell 3mm suit which does more than the trick for South Florida, but I don't know how it will fair in the cooler waters over there. Thanks |

I would recommend getting at least a 5mm freedive suit. The water yesterday was about 61-63. I dive in a 3mm, but was definitely pretty cold after about 3 hours in the water.

You will definitely need a 5mm open cell wetsuit. Many guys this time of the year buy a 7mm but that is only if you have the luxury to have 2-3 suits, one for every occasion.
If you visit Spear America we have suits starting from $195 to fit all shapes and sizes. Welcome and Happy Holidays.
