Re: Generator
So Gene,
I guess you are either moving away from hurricane country or you think you'll never, ever have another power failure? My son lives with his family in Nola and I've been recommending that he buy a small portable generator for times like this. What do you think? |

At this moment others probably need this more than I do. You probably cannot buy one within 100 miles. This one has a 220 outlet. I think it could plug into the dryer plug, flip breakers to close unneeded circuits and maybe run everything in the house except central AC. But I'm no elictrician. Having fans, lights, refrigerator and tv working would sooth somebody's trauma a lot. If I had access to nat gas I might get a whole house back up system. My bro in the far frozen N has one. Works when it needs to.
