Freshwater fish species ID help

Went carpin with Jeff a couple of days ago and found these in one of the deeper spots. I'm not really a freshwater species expert so not sure if these are bass? There were a couple of big ones in there that I really would have liked to be able to legally shoot.

It also appears that the sturgeon population is fairly healthy. Saw about 50 of them cruising around.

Not an expert on freshwater fish by any means, but they look like smallmouth bass to me.

Definitely Bass Ian.

Couldn't quite tell if they had a line down the side. We have 3 species of he "Black Bass" family. Largemouth, Kentucky, and Smallmouth. The first two have a distinctive dark line running horizonally down the middle. The Smallmouths are solid brown w/o the line. From your video, they look like SM.

Nice footage!

Nice waters! Those sturgeon are awesome!

Smallmouth and largemouth bass are dumb and curious like puppy dogs. No sport in shooting them.
