Re: La Jolla

Outside the surf break it was 15ft vis. it looked good, 'cept for all the debris in the water.

Re: La Jolla

I'm probably gonna go out there tomorrow I think. Will try late afternoon to take advantage of DST sunlight and rising tide.

Re: La Jolla

Yeah we go down all the time to do some freediving in the kelp beds but LOVE to swim the caves on high tides. I've amassed a SHIT ton of seal lion footage over the years at the cove haha! Super fun to swim with them. Glad they seem to like us too. Some big males will charge us sometimes in the caves etc but they've never touched us. Crazy to see how quick and nimble those guys are and the taxman still get em..just make me realize how easy of a meal we are sometimes spearing the kelp beds (if they really wanted us) haha.

Re: La Jolla

Funny story behind my GoPro haha! I was diving one day and saw something rolling on the ground across a sandy patch. Thought it was a dead crab or lobster or something but turned out to be a GoPro! Checked the files on it and there were only a few clips but they were from 2009! Had been drifting for a few years! Still turned on and works perfectly. That's what all my water stuff is filmed on. We have another HD Hero3 though too, we often use. Bought the Dive Housing for the camera.

A floating muffin ^ hahah

Once on a dive I knocked my gopro downward and ended up filming behind me. Looking through the wasted footage I ended up seeing one of those big guys behind me more than once. Had no idea he was even there
