Re: Your Boat

Prater,I had a 12 ft Floating Motomar(Sillinger)with a 2 stroke 15 hp evinrude.I put a 172 qt cooler in it and ran three freedivers spearing all day on six gallons of gas. Most comfortable boat to roll in and out of diving Ive ever had.I had a commercial fishing license in Florida and could run for lobsters in the keys on the cheap. No trailer just back the pickup down the ramp and slide her out or drive the nose in and pull the rest.Good times!

Re: Your Boat

I took that one to the keys many years ago. It was a lot of fun going out every morning for some lobsters. It was a blast and we used about 6 gallons in a week with the 4 stroke 9.9 Mariner.

Re: Your Boat

Not to derail the thread, but I notice Prater's pic from Photobucket didn't load. I had the same problem if I tried to load the full size pic from Photobucket, which is why I loaded the small pic on my boat pic post. But I can use that same procedure and load them on other sites. Is this just a Spearboard thing?

Re: Your Boat

New to me, boat. 1999 31' contender. twin 250 yamaha's.
got it on Ebay two years ago, for $39K. 11 years old with 400 hours.
Sat on the lift in Fort Meyers for ten years- only taken out for annual
service. I LOVE EBAY!
We cut the fixed tower off with a sawzall in the parking lot in Fort Meyers.
She had never been on a trailer before. Got a lot of funny looks cutting up a perfectly good boat at the boat ramp.
Upgraded the electronics w/ Garmin 5215 chartplotter
(that's a 15" GPS screen) It's friggen huge! 4K watt 48" open array radar.
Rigged with custom tank racks to hold 22 tanks. Custom T rail dive ladder
from boatladder.com.

Re: Your Boat

22' SeaSport with lots of amenities for a boat its size. Sink with pressurized hot water under helm seat, alcohol stove, swimstep, hot fresh water shower in cockpit, nice size fish holds, etc.

Re: Your Boat

I changed Bimini to SS hardware and went to a teal color. This pic was at an Island we BBQ and camp on.Still gets to 60sand 70s at night so you can still enjoy a campfire.I may sell her soon to go to a Sailboat.Slower pace and I can camp without setting anything up!
