Crazy. Any idea why a shark like that would come into the shallows?

Re: Great white shark named George stalks Everglade waters
Showed this to my boss Monday morning - he'd been camping on one of the small islands in that area within a mile of that last position fix (by Sunday evening they had left, but point still made). According to him at high tide that's maybe 6 feet of water there; said the fishing was pretty good just to the south over the weekend.
The other point someone made is that's the area they've had a couple marine mammal strandings in over the last couple years. |

Murky vis coupled with abundant fish supply...no brainer. Manatees and alligators are all over the shoreline and tributaries.
