Out of JP 5-12-19

Got home a few days ago from building a new 5'x6' deer ground blind at my sisters farm in the U.P. of Mi.. I went from the high 80's here to low 30's-50's. Spent a week. My former 4'x4' ground blind was like sitting in a broom closet. My new blind is all done now. The R11 insulation in the ceiling, walls and floor will feel great this winter. Now, to Sundays half day trip. I haven't dove since late Oct.. The water has warmed up and gag/ars season is around the corner. Time to get wet and become one again with the speargun. Only, did one dive in order to back in time for the Mothers Day barbecue. Went down about 10' and could see the reef and fish on the reef bottom at 70'. Horz. vis. was a good 40+ feet. Water temp. on bottom 77 F.. Everything, I saw that was well above legal size was closed. A few ARS, triggers, gags. There were also, lots of small hogs, gags, mangoes and grunts. Didn't even pull the trigger. Glad all my equipment that recently got serviced worked perfectly. It was a great day on and under the water. Even though I didn't shoot anything. I did see a real nice size gag. Of course come opening gag day. Mr. gag 16-17# will not be in his hidey-hole. He'll get the warning memo a few days before and head out to deeper water to cool off and be safe.

Re: Out of JP 5-12-19

I had an invite to do some hunting on 80 acres up there but they logged it and I wasn't too crazy about driving all the way up there on a slim chance of getting a deer and maybe one with FWD.
Hope you get a huge one this season.
Thanks for posting.
If you are enjoying the sunrise, then you made it through yesterday.
