For Sale - Camera mounts
I had a few requests for these camera mounts lately, so I made a few extras. They are designed to clamp on to a Rob Allen or similar rail gun barrel, and can be installed or removed without any tools. The knob that mounts the camera is retained with a little snap ring, so it won't fall out if not in use. The mounting arm can be reversed to position the camera higher if you want. Just peel off the rubber pad and move it to the other side, and reverse the camera mounting knob.
I have three left, and they are $55 shipped in the U.S. |

Re: For Sale - Camera mounts
Glad the weights are working for you. The order is in, so there should be plenty more of those soon.
All three mounts are sold, pending payment. If you missed out, let me know and I'll put together another batch in a few weeks. Thanks, Jeff |

Re: For Sale - Camera mounts
Weights are coming. Big order went in today to a specialty foundry that does lead for medical and nuclear stuff. I'll post more detail when I get the first sample to look at.

Re: For Sale - Camera mounts
I was asked if the clamp in the camera mounts would fit a Wong hybrid. I don't know of anyone who has used one on a Wong tube and I don't know the diameter of the tube, so I can't say, but the round bore through the clamp is about 1-1/8" in diameter, with about a 3/4" gap at the top to accomodate the shaft and rail. Routing the shooting line might be a problem, though.
Here's an alternative approach that may work better. So far as I know, the Alexander, Poseidonsub, and Neptonics all share the same 2-3/8" distance between the 3/16" diameter mounting pins, so this will fit many different guns. I'm not sure about the distance between the pins on a Wong, but maybe someone can measure and see if they are also 2-3/8". The camera mounting knob is captive, like on the rail gun mount, and there are rubber pads under the camera, and on the side of the mount that touches the gun. When Griswold tried the first one, he found it to be a little too tall, which made loading awkward. So I generally make them with a sharper bend, and lower, like the second pic. You would need to replace the existing pins that hold the mecanism in place with the included cap screws to accept the knobs, but after that, the mount can be easily removed or installed without tools. |

TinMan, I really need one of your camera mounts! Do you think that it would fit on an AB Biller stock?
