Davies Landing on 2nd Street....forgot to set his brake when he went back to tie down the boat...whole rig ended up in 10' of water...very entertaining for the bystanders..

Maybe the guy did it intentionally to get the insurance to pay off his truck, I don't have much faith in parking pins for any excessive load, and sometimes wander if the e-brake cable could fail.

You could make a day just watching people blundering at Davie's Launch Ramp. Fights, rigs all the way in the water, boats and jet skis falling on the cement, boaters falling in the water- you name it, I have seen it all happen there.

Some words of advice when launching at Davie's; use the middle of launch ramp, be patient, and when launching in low tide, drive your rig out at an angle to gain traction.

My brother and I used to eat lunch everyday at one of the Antioch boat ramps. Prostitutes, drug tweakers, meth heads, housewives who couldn't take directions from husbands while launching boats, drunk watercraft users, the whole deal. You couldn't pay for that kind of entertainment...and that's just on a boring old weekday. I'd hate to see a three day weekend.

and, my favorite..the weekender who stops at the top of the ramp to load or unload all his gear while 10 boaters wait to go out or in...
