Our bluewater season so far
I don't get on here much but I figured I would update with some of our fish from this season. After they closed Ajs for the year we had more room on the boat for wahoo and we landed 20 on the last trip. Which was the most we have ever got on one trip.!like the Dow hitting 20,000.

Re: Our bluewater season so far
Keith I was reading about an 835lb Giant Bluefin caught in the Gulf this past week. Are you allowed to shoot them in the Gulf? In Atlantic it's against the rules but it's okay in Pacific. Does Gulf have a regulation on Spearing Bluefin? You ever see any out there? Here we have heaps, huge shoals, but it's illegal.

Re: Our bluewater season so far
No one knows exactly where they spawn that I know of, But it's in the middle of the gulf somewhere. A couple hundred miles out at least. I've seen a huge school of baby bluefin but never Giant ones. A friend of mine has seen a 1,000lber. They get them fishing in real deep water every now and then. They don't come in shallow like the northeast coast that I know of.
